The COST Action 733 was in the period 2005-2010 an European network project aiming to “achieve a general numerical method for assessing, comparing and classifying weather situations in Europe, scalable to any European (sub)region with time scales between 12 h and 3 days and spatial scales of ca. 200 to 2000 km, applicable for a number of applications.”.
The main outcome of the action was the cost733class software for classification of atmospheric circulation. Documentation and downloads of the software is available on the cost733wiki
